Respected Seniors and Dear Friends

It is a profound honour to step into the role of President of the Indian Rheumatology Association (IRA). As I assume this responsibility, I am filled with gratitude for the trust placed in me and with deep respect for the legacy built by my predecessors. Our Association has grown into a vibrant community united by a shared commitment to advancing the science and practice of rheumatology in India.

At the outset, I extend my warmest congratulations to all incoming members of the Executive Committee. Each of them brings unique strengths, diverse perspectives, and an unwavering dedication to our field. I am confident that, together, we will continue to strengthen the IRA’s foundations, expand its initiatives, and work collaboratively to address the evolving needs of our members and our patients.

The coming year offers us an opportunity to build on the momentum of recent achievements—be it in education, research, advocacy, or patient empowerment. I look forward to working closely with the Executive Committee to drive new initiatives, enhance engagement across our membership, and promote excellence in rheumatology practice and training nationwide.

I also remain deeply appreciative of the contributions of our outgoing office-bearers. Their vision and hard work have positioned the IRA strongly for the future, and we will continue to benefit from the pathways they have laid.

As we embark on this journey together, I invite each of you—members young and seniors alike—to actively participate in shaping the next chapter of our Association. With collective commitment and shared purpose, I am confident that the IRA will continue to thrive.
