Dear esteemed IRA members,

IRA e-Newsletter has been an important publication of the Indian Rheumatology Association since 2013. Previous editors have done a tremendous and thankless job. The contents and the philosophy of the newsletter have evolved with time. The aim is to communicate IRA activities, synthesize recent advances and present in a simple, quick to read format. Videos of some practical procedures were introduced in the last few years and were well received.

Dr Vinod Ravindran has taken over as the Editor-in-Chief of IRA e-Newsletter this year. He along with his team of editors have revamped the structure of the newsletter. Dr Parthajit Das, the executive editor of the current issue has chosen Osteoporosis as the theme with very apt topics and contributors. Some of the topics are available as podcasts as well. Learning from the veterans and giants of rheumatology, review of literature, quiz and image of the quarter are some of the interesting features of this issue.

We also are cognizant of the fact that readership for the IRA e-Newsletter has not been as expected and a lot of our colleagues don’t open and read the newsletter. They are not aware of what they are missing out! I encourage all of you to be the ambassadors of this newsletter and discuss the content in our social media groups and help popularize it.
